The context
The vehicle patterns and car kits are served by a dedicated MATMAK API. The HEXIS Precut Lab pages run on WordPress, on the BODYFENCE website, with their own WordPress database. The plugin shows that catalogue on those pages by reading it from MATMAK's API.
What I built
- A custom WordPress plugin, written in PHP, that consumes a dedicated MATMAK API.
- Shortcodes that display the vehicle patterns and car kits wherever they are placed on a page.
How the data flows
| Layer | What happens | Tools |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Vehicle patterns and car kits are served by a dedicated MATMAK API. | REST |
| Plugin | The plugin calls that API and turns the response into catalogue markup. | PHP · WordPress |
| Pages | Shortcodes place the catalogue on the HEXIS Precut Lab pages. | WordPress shortcodes |
What this shows
Integration work across two systems: reading from a platform API and presenting its data inside a different stack, in production.
